This necklace is a reproduction of one worn by Eleanor of Toledo in a portrait of her and her son painted by Italian artist Agnolo di Cosimo, known as Bronzino, in about 1545. Eleanor was was a Spanish noblewoman and Duchess of Florence during the 16th century. The necklace she wears in the portrait is rather simple, especially compared to jewelry worn at the English Tudor court durning this same period, but is a perfect example of Florentine fashion of the time.
I constructed this replica using a large (48mm across) raw brass filigree which has been polished to a bright finish and treated with Renaissance Wax to help prevent oxidation. In the center is a 20mm light yellow glass cabochon set in a brass bezel setting and sprinkled around the edge of the filigree are small Swarovski Crystals in Black Diamond to bring just a hint of sparkle and light to the pendant. From the pendant is a teardrop shaped glass pearl with a gold toned beadcap. Lastly, the pendant is strung on a strand of 8mm soft beige glass pearls and has a lobster claw clasp.

Returns and Exchanges
~If you are not completely happy with your purchase, I will be happy to refund your purchase price (minus Shipping if shipping was paid) upon return of the item in original, unused condition. Buyer must contact me within 7 days of delivery and ship items back within 14 days of delivery. Custom items cannot be returned.
~Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and it is recommended that the return package has tracking since no refunds will be given for items lost in transit without proof of shipping.
