Jane Grey Tudor Brooch - Renaissance Medieval Historical Replica Bodice Jewelry

This historical reproduction brooch is made with sturdy, well made (and large) raw brass filigrees each adorned with large center stones and smaller accenting stones and half pearls. This large piece of bodice jewelry also features a large dangling teardrop acrylic pearl. Based on the Streatham portrait of Lady Jane Grey, an ill fated pawn of the Tudor Dynasty.

Lady Jane Grey, more tragically known by the moniker of the "Nine Day's Queen", was an English noblewoman who became queen of England for, you guessed it, nine days. She was proclaimed Queen after the death of Henry VIII's only son, Edward VI, who wanted to ensure England remained a Protestant country. However, support for Henry VIII's eldest daughter Mary grew and Jane was deposed after only nine days as Queen. She was later ordered executed.

This replica brooch is a true statement piece fit for a Queen! Both filigrees used to make this piece are very sturdy, well made, and are raw brass that has been treated with Renaissance wax to reduce the natural oxidation of brass over time. The smaller top filigree is 50mm (2 inches) and has a large black acrylic stone set in a brass bezel setting. Around this center stone are 4 small acrylic half pearls each in their own brass bezel settings. The largeer bottem filigree is a whopping 83mm (over 3.25 inches) across. In the center is a large facated red Swarovski Crystal Elements glass stone in a brass bezel setting. Radiating out from the center are 4 black acrylic stones in brass settings and 2 different sixed acrylic half pearls in brass bezel settings. From the brooch dangles a large actylic teardrop pearl and gold toned faceted accent bead.

The brooch measures approximately 6 and 3/4 ichs from the top to the bottem of the pearl and features a brooch pin bar on the back of the top filigree (see second to last photo).

~If you are not completely happy with your purchase, I will be happy to refund your purchase price (minus Shipping if shipping was paid) upon return of the item in original, unused condition. Buyer must contact me within 14 days of delivery and ship items back within 30 days of delivery. Custom items cannot be returned.

~Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and it is recommended that the return package has tracking since no refunds will be given for items lost in transit without proof of shipping.
