Adorn yourself with a piece of jewelry not only inspired by an historical painting but also was made using a technique that has been handed down for thousands of years. This long, continuous Chainmaille necklace is a reproduction of a long chain necklace worn by Catherine of Aragon in portrait. This historical reproduction was made using 18g tarnish resistant brass rings weaved together in a chainmaille weave known as Byzantine. All jumprings used to make this necklace were made and cut by me, by hand. I do not use premade jumprings for my chailmaille so I can both the size of the rings and the material used to make the rings are suitable for the weave.
This necklace is one continuous strand meaning there is no clasp, it slips over the head.
Please note that while the pictures above show the necklace doubled on the stand it is not actually long enough to do this, it is shown this way only to ensure I was able to get the entire necklace in frame.
This Chainmaille necklace will be made just for you, please allow 1-2 weeks to ship.
If you have any questions, please contact me and I will respond as soon as possible, usually within a few hours and never more than 24 hours.
