Italian Renaissance Jewelry - Eleanor of Toledo Historical Replica Filigree and Pearl Necklace

This necklace is a replica of one seen in a 16th century portriat of Eleanor of Toledo Eleanor was was a Spanish noblewoman and Duchess of Florence during the 16th century. The necklace she wears in the portrait is rather simple, especially compared to jewelry worn at the English Tudor court durning this same period, but is a perfect example of Florentine fashion of the time.

I've constructed this replica using a beautifully detailed round brass filigree that measures 35mm. The filigree has been polished and treated with Renaissance wax to combat oxidation. In the center is a large (15mm)ruby red acrylic cabochon set in a brass bezel setting. Surrounding this center stone are 4 jet black acrylic navette stones each in a brass bezel setting. A teardrop glass pearl with gold toned bead caps on top and bottom dangle from the pendant. Lastly, the pendant is strung on a strand of 8mm soft cream colored glass pearls and has a lobster claw clasp.

Measures 18 or 16 inches in length.

~If you are not completely happy with your purchase, I will be happy to refund your purchase price (minus Shipping if shipping was paid) upon return of the item in original, unused condition. Buyer must contact me within 14 days of delivery and ship items back within 30 days of delivery. Custom items cannot be returned.
